We are fully booked for most dates
from December 23, 2026, through March 8, 2027.
In particular, we are unable to accept reservations
for stays of two nights or more during the above period.

Surrounded by 13 public hot spring baths (or onsen), Shrines, and picturesque mountains, Kiriya is the ideal choice for a traditional and relaxing holiday.

Dear Guests,

From 1 April to 15 December each year, our accommodation will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Thank you for your understanding.

Countermeasures against new coronavirus infection at our hotel

We are thankful that our guests can enjoy their trips again.
The health and safety of our guests and inn staff is our top priority at Kiriya Ryokan.
For this reason, we take the utmost care to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus while ensuring everyone’s physical and mental refreshment, safety, and peace of mind.
Please understand that we need the cooperation not only of the inn staff but also of our guests as we work together to create this project.

What we need from you

・Please do not make reservations on the same day.
・Please wear masks in the lobby, hallways and other common areas.
・Temperature and identification of all guests will be conducted upon check-in.
・Avoid crowding in the hotel.
・Please keep as much distance as possible from other customers.

Like most Ryokan, we are a family-run establishment and have been for five generations. Ko is the current custodian and the face of Kiriya.

As an English-speaker, she will guide you through a very Japanese experience, while you enjoy our traditional hand-crafted rooms, internationally acclaimed Kaiseki meals, and friendly service. Kiriya Ryokan also features our own private spring-fed Onsens and bathing facilities. We are located in the oldest part of our historic village and are less than a 5 minute walk to the main street and its many restaurants. For the skiers, we are only 3 minutes walk away from the ‘Yu-Road’ moving pathway that unloads directly on the Hikage slopes.

During busy season, we suggest that guests reserve Shinkansen Tickets in advance, or at least for their return trip, prior to arrival in Nozawa Onsen. We have 3 options that should suit most guests to our village.
