Shinkansen, Local Train & Bus
Catching the Shinkansen (high speed train) is probably the fastest way of travelling between Tokyo and Nagano. This section of the journey takes approximately two hours. The trip between Nagano and Nozawa is made via the “local” train that stops at TogariNozawaOnsen station. This is a good option if the bus from Option One and Two doesn’t connect to your Shinkansen. A short shuttle bus trip to the Village centre takes you the rest of the way.
