Our guest rooms are constructed using time-honoured Japanese techniques and are based on the Traditional Japanese living area layout. This arrangement allows for a spacious living area during the day, and a comfortable sleeping area at night.

Kiriya has a range of room sizes, some of which can comfortably sleep an entire family.

Kiriya also houses two indoor Onsen. These baths are fed directly from our own private hot springs. Our Onsen use an overflow system. In other words, no artificial filtration, heating, or chemicals are required as the old water is constantly being replaced by new, directly from the spring.

Our Onsen are segregated by sex and are the perfect end to a hard day on the slopes or exploring the village and mountain.

Food is also a big part of a traditional Ryokan visit and Kiriya’s kitchen is internationally acclaimed for its elaborate style of cooking called Kaiseki. A typical Kaiseki evening meal features seasonal and regional specialties and consist of many small and varied dishes.

Feel free to dine at Kiriya for a range of traditional Japanese meals, or enjoy some of the many local restaurants. At least one Kaiseki dinner should be experienced during your stay as it is a unique look into Japanese cuisine and could be considered both a cultural and dining experience.

Breakfast is included with your room and dinner is optional. Western Breakfasts are also available. Our Chef can cater for vegetarian needs.
