Like most Ryokan, we are a family-run establishment and have been for five generations. Ko is the current custodian and the face of Kiriya.

As an English-speaker, she will guide you through a very Japanese experience, while you enjoy our traditional hand-crafted rooms, internationally acclaimed Kaiseki meals, and friendly service.
Kiriya Ryokan also features our own private spring-fed Onsens and bathing facilities.

We are located in the oldest part of our historic village and are less than a 5 minute walk to the main street and its many restaurants. For the skiers,

we are only 3 minutes walk away from the 'Yu-Road' moving pathway that unloads directly on the Hikage slopes.
